It’s just a white wall.

And a black handrail.

In fact the handrail at the bottom of this photo is the only surface in this photograph that is not painted white. But there is very little of the photograph that looks white. And it is a color photograph….

The sparkling lights of Christmas shopping in downtown San Francisco.

When you live in a rural redwood forest setting, it is interesting to shop in ‘The City’. We were in San Francicso visiting our younger daughter. It was a fun family day, but the clothes shopping part wasn’t enough to distract me from thinking about photographs.

Patterns, shapes, shadows, white, and the sky.

And the sun.

Everything in this photograph is white, except for the glimpse of sky and the sun filtered through the skylight….

I am starting to enjoy the buildings that house art displays almost as much as the art itself….
